Bungie has updated its blog mentioning the new update coming on January 21st. The new update will include among the other updates, Crota’s End Hard Mode Raid.
Obviously this raid is going to be much harder than the Normal one. If you already finished the raid on Normal, you probably are ready for it and it will be easier for you to adapt to the new mechanics.
If you finished it only with cheesing Crota, you probably should try to finish it on Normal to get ready to what comes up next. I finished Crota with various team while teaming up with random players via destinylfg.com, and only a few days ago I finished it with my friends.
It took some time, and we needed a player that knows how to use the sword. It took time, but after we finished it once and understood the mechanics, we were able to do it again faster and it was much easier.
Bungie yet to reveal any details about how the Hard Mode is different from the Normal mode. I will happy with anything as long as it’s going to be challenging. Bungie had time to work on it and perfect it. Bungie mentioned that the raid will keep us occupied and they will also keep and eye on the first group that finish it.
According to the article: “We might even send the world first finishers some swag from the Bungie store“. It’s nice for Bungie to reward players that are working hard to finish it as fast as possible. I don’t know if it will be me and my group, because they are so many great players out there, but we’ll do our best.
If you think that you are not ready, go play the raid now and practice. The new Crota’s end Hard mode will have a few options to heal the player according to the article, and the enemies are stronger than before and more prone to outbreak. This means that this new Hard Mode will be much less forgiving for mistakes and all players should be aware of getting hit and stay alive in order to finish it successfully. Seems like the same thing that the Vault of Glass hard mode brought.
I already doing it with my team or random players once a day to get ready for the new Hard Mode. Finally something new to do!
